The GFR-700HD uses this information to cal-culate differences in distance and adds millisecondsof delay if necessary to ensure that all audio signalsreach your ears simultaneously from all speakers.The following is an overview of the Delay Configura-tion menu.To access the Delay Configuration menu:1 Press the Main button on the remote control.2 Press the Setup button.3 Use the / buttons to select DELAY CONFIG,then press the Select button.4 Use the / buttons to choose from the follow-ing menu items:FRONTSets the distance from your front speakers to yourprimary listening area in feet or meters (see DelayUnit below). Measure this distance, then use the/ buttons to select:• 0-20 feet (0-6.1 meters)• The front distance is the benchmark setting forall other speakers, so measure this distance care-fully.CENTERSets the distance from your center speaker to yourprimary listening area in feet or meters (see DelayUnit below). Measure this distance, then use the/ buttons to select:• 0-20 feet (0-6.1 meters)• The center speaker is often closer to the primarylistening area than the front speakers. If so, theGFR-700HD calculates the difference in distanceand adds delay accordingly.SURROUNDSets the distance from your surround speakers toyour primary listening area in feet or meters (seeDelay Unit below). Measure this distance, then usethe / buttons to select:• 0-20 feet (0-6.1 meters)• The surround speakers are often closer to theprimary listening area than the front speakers.If so, the GFR-700HD calculates the difference indistance and adds delay accordingly.SURR BACKSets the distance from your surround speakers toyour primary listening area in feet or meters (seeDelay Unit below).
