6Chapter 1 - WelcomeGFR-700HD Owner’s ManualPlacing the GFR-700HDPlace the GFR-700HD on a stable, vibration-free sur-face away from moisture and out of direct sunlight.Your Adcom dealer will be pleased to show you manydifferent types of audio/video equipment racks andcabinets.The GFR-700HD’s rear panel is the central connect-ing point for almost every component in your audio/video system. Be sure to leave sufficient room be-hind the rear panel to accommodate cables, antennaleads, power cords, etc. We recommend a minimumof 5 inches of free space for maximum flexibility.A distance of 1/2” should be maintained around theGFR-700HD for ventilation. Keep your GFR-700HD ina room where temperatures remain fairly moderate,and never cover it with table cloths, curtains, news-papers, etc., to avoid potential overheating.About the Remote ControlThe GFR-700HD comes with a universal, programma-ble, backlit, ergonomic remote control that is readyfor action in every sense of the word.• For an overview of each remote button, see page8.• To program the remote, see page 46.Inserting the Remote Batteries1 Remove the cover on the back panel of the re-mote control.2 Insert four AAA alkaline batteries, paying atten-tion to the correct polarities.3 Replace the cover. |
