Engine System, Gasoline/LPG108Service Manual – Advance 7765 / Nilfisk CR1500TroubleshootingNote: Also refer to the PSI Tier 3 Certified Mobile Diagnostic and Troubleshooting Manual,publication number PSITIER3 - G, for additional troubleshooting information andprocedures.General TroubleshootingProblem Cause CorrectionThe engine will notcrank.No power to pin K on the14-pin Engine HarnessConnector.• Check circuit breaker CB3 and reset if necessary.• Check the continuity from the Ignition Switch to pinK on the 14-pin Engine Harness Connector andrepair as necessary.The engine will notstart.No power to pin A on the14-pin Engine HarnessConnector.• Check circuit breaker CB4 and reset if necessary.• Check the continuity from the Ignition Switch to pinA on the 14-pin Engine Harness Connector andrepair as necessary.Engine will not runat high speed (2000RPM)Loss of run signal from theThrottle Switch.• Check that a voltage signal is being sent to theengine control when the Throttle Switch is set tooperating speed.• Check the continuity through the Throttle Switchand connections and repair as necessary.The engine stopsrunning, checkengine light is on.The coolant temperature istoo high.Refer to the Engine Overheating Problems sectionbelow.The oil pressure hasdropped below 6 psi @1000RPM or 18 psi @ 2000RPM.Refer to the Loss of Oil Pressure Protectionsection below.Engine Overheating ProblemsUse the checklist below as a guide to thoroughly check the engine cooling system.• Check the coolant level in the overflow tank and radiator.• Inspect and clean the radiator and hydraulic oil cooler.• Check for correct operation of the belt-driven engine cooling fan (slippage).• Check to see that the engine thermostat opens.• Check for correct water pump operation.• Check the engine crankcase oil level.• Check for air trapped in the cooling system. (Refer to the Engine Coolant/Replacing Engine Coolantsection.)• Check the water temperature switch for correct function as replace if necessary.
