Using Your Camera with a Modem AXIS 2110 User’s Manual18Refining the Dial-up Networking PropertiesHaving created the Dial-up connection for your AXIS 2110, follow the steps below torefine the connection properties:Initiating the Dial-up ConnectionImportant!If you have problems connecting via the Null Modem Cable, go back through the instructions providedabove and check that the connection is correctly configured.❷Click the Server Types tab. From thedrop-down dialog, select PPP as theType of Dial-Up Server.❶From the Dial-up Networking dialog, right click the dedicatedDial-up connection previously created for you camera(AxisCamera was the connection created used in this andprevious examples). Select Properties.❸In the Advanced options field, checkEnable software compression. All othercheck boxes should remain unchecked.❹In the Allowed network protocols field,check the TCP/IP check box. NetBEUI andIPX/SPX check boxes should remainunchecked.❻Check the Use IP headercompression and Use default gatewayon a remote network check boxes.Click OK.❼Click the Scripting tab and ensure that the Startterminal screen minimized check box is checked. Click OKto exit Dial-Up Networking Properties.❺Click TCP/IP settings and then checkthe Server assigned IP address, and Serverassigned name server addresses radiobuttons.❷Double-click the Dial-Upconnection icon that waspreviously created for your AXIS2110. AxisCamera was used inthis and previous examples.❶Double-click My Computerand then double click theDial-Up Networking dialog.❹Click Connect to start theDial-Up connection.❸ Enter a Username andPassword using the default rootand pass respectively.
