It also includes connection diagrams for a simpledoor switch and an LED output, as well as a more complete schematic diagram describinghow the AXIS 2110 is connected for a typical application.The Serial ConnectorThe serial connector can be used for several purposes. In the absence of a local networkconnection, the serial connector provides a physical interface for connecting a modem orcomputer to the AXIS 2110. When a local network connection is unavailable at the pointof installation, connect your PC to this connector using the supplied Null Modem Cable toinitially configure your product. If you intend to use the AXIS 2191 Audio Module withyour network camera, then this is the connector used for connecting it.The Physical ConnectorA single 9-pin D-sub connector provides the physical connection for the RS-232 serialinterface of the AXIS 2110.
