Set the Volume on the Remote Unit.The volume control (as shown in Figure 3.2 on page 21) setsthe level of Control Panel speech (and the level of the ringtone) reproduced at the Remote Unit and should be adjustedto allow speech to be clearly understood.4. De-occupy the unit by turning the Keyswitch clockwise 45°and then returning it to vertical. Ensure both the “STATUS”LED on the front panel and the relevant Zone LED on theControl Panel extinguish.4.5.3 Advance Refuge Remote (BVOCA)1. Ensure all 8 LEDs are flashing to indicate the system is activeand ready to make a call.2. Press the centre “CALL” button.Ensure all 8 LEDs surrounding the button stop flashing.3. Both the Remote Unit and the Control Panel(s) will 'ring'.The associated red LED on the Control Panel(s) will flash toindicate activity at that Remote Unit location.Check that when the handset is lifted and the zone is selectedcommunication can be established.4. Set the Volume on the Remote Unit.The volume control (as shown in Figure 3.5 on page 27) setsthe level of Control Panel speech (and the level of the ringtone) reproduced at the Remote Unit and should be adjustedto allow speech to be clearly understood.5. De-occupy the unit by pressing and holding the “CALL”button until a tone is heard.After releasing the button ensure the 8 LEDs flash to indicateanother call can be made and the relevant Red LED isextinguished on the Control Panel(s).N OTE : If only the Top Centre LED is flashing then the Fire Panel inputis not active and the Remote Unit will not be able to make a call.N OTE : If only one Remote Unit is calling the Control Panel then that callis automatically answered by lifting the handset.
