P1512021 R6 334.5. Component LocationsLayout DrawingBe sure to select the proper layout drawing. The dimensions change for each machine depending on the driveoption selected. Incorrect placement of the components affects machine balance and can cause a heavy or lightintake. The layout drawing is attached to the packing list.Mark the TubeAlways ensure that the hopper remains level during the attachment of all components that bolt to the conveyortubing. Use a tape measure to mark out component locations that bolt to the tube. Mark locations on the topside of the tube. Refer to the tube drawing attached to the packing list for layout measurements andcomponent locations.Tightening BracketsFor all bolt-on brackets and u-clamps, tighten nuts part-way on one side of bracket, then tighten part-way onopposite side. Do this until bracket is fully tightened and ensure it remains level during this procedure.4.6. S-Drive AssemblyNoteThe s-drive normally comes pre-assembled when delivered from the factory.1. Insert the rollers (10, 11, 12, 37) into position.2. Install the s-drive cover plates (4, 7) in position with nylock nuts (22).3. Insert the slider plates (32), tightener plates (6), and bearings on pinch roller (12) with carriage bolts (15)and nylock nuts (23). Keep the bolts on pinch roller bearings just loose enough to allow the pinch roller thefreedom to kick back 1/4” during operation when the belt seam passes through.4. Slide the bearings (34) on the drive roller (10) with carriage bolts (15), square flat washers (39), and nylocknuts (23).5. Install the adjust bolts (24) in 4 places around the s-drive cover plates (4, 7).6. Slide the bearings (33) on the return rollers (37) with carriage bolts (14), square flat washers (38), and nylocknuts (22).7. Loosely install the take-up bearings (35) on the take-up roller (11). Ensure the take-up roller assembly isinserted into the take-up slot. Take note of bearing orientation and do not install backwards.8. Install the take-up brackets (3) with bolts (17) and nylock nuts (21). Insert the tightener bolts (36) and attachitem to the take-up bearings (35) with square nut and spring pins (not shown).9. Center all rollers in the s-drive (9) and lock bearing collars with a punch and hammer. Tighten the set screwswith an Allen wrench.10. Attach the take-up guards (2) to the s-drive (9) with bolts (16), flat washers (25), and nylock nuts (20).11. Install the springs (29), flat washers (26), bushings (31), pinch pipes (1), bolts (13), and nuts (18) on thepinch roller.12. Install the washers (27), springs (30), pre-tensioners (take-up pipes) (5), and hex nuts (19) on the take-uproller bolts (36).13. Loosely attach the bottom guard (8) with bolts (16) and lock washer (28). This will have to be removed toinstall the belt later on.PORTABLE GRAIN BELT CONVEYOR – STANDARD 4. ASSEMBLY
