Mousing Around a Ports DisplayHub View Port Color CodesThe Port Status boxes in the Hub View are color coded to indicate the port’sconnection status. The colors are consistent for all Port Display Forms exceptAdmin Status; the exceptions are noted below.• Green indicates that the port is active; that is, the port has been enabled bymanagement, has a valid Link signal (if applicable), and is able tocommunicate with the station at the other end of the port’s cable segment.Note that an AUI or transceiver port will display as active as long as it has beenenabled by management, even if no cable is connected.Module TypeDisplays the type ofmodule, or device,whose ports arecurrently beingdisplayed in thePorts Display.Port Display FormUsing the Module or Device menus,you can change the port display formshown in the Port Status boxes toany one of the following:- Load (% of theoretical maximum)- Traffic (Pkts/sec)- Collisions (Colls/sec)- Errors (Errors/sec, total or by type)- Frame Sizes (% of total packets)Module IndexIndicates the module’s position inthe SEHI-managed stack; the SEHIitself is always #1. Click mousebutton 1 to open the Module Statuswindow; click mouse button 3 todisplay the Module menu.Port IndexClick mouse button 1 to openthe Port Status window; clickmouse button 3 to display thePort menu.Port StatusThe Port Status display changes withthe type of port display formatselected.
