See“REPLACE BATTERY IN REMOTE KEY” under DICWarnings and Messages on page 4‑62 for additionalinformation.Notice: When replacing the battery, do not touchany of the circuitry on the transmitter. Static fromyour body could damage the transmitter.To replace the battery:1. Separate the transmitter with a flat, thin objectinserted into the notch, located above themetal base.2. Remove the old battery. Do not use a metal object.3. Insert the new battery, positive side facing up.Replace with a CR2032 or equivalent battery.4. Reassemble the transmitter.Remote Vehicle StartThe remote vehicle starting feature allows you to startthe engine from outside of the vehicle. It also starts upthe vehicle's automatic climate control system. Whenthe remote start system is active, the climate controlsystem will heat and cool the inside of the vehicleaccording to the previous settings of the system beforeturning the vehicle off. The rear window defogger will beturned on by the climate control system when it is coldoutside. If the vehicle has heated seats, they will alsoturn on when it is cold outside. See Heated andVentilated Seats on page 2‑5 for additionalinformation. Cooled seats are not activated during aremote start. Normal operation of the climate controlsystem will return after the key is turned to ON/RUN.See Dual Climate Control System on page 4‑33.3-6
