During this time the newbrake linings are not yetbroken in. Hard stops withnew linings can meanpremature wear and earlierreplacement. See Trailer Towingon page 9‑74 for the trailertowing capabilities of thevehicle and moreinformation.Following break‐in, engine speedand load can be graduallyincreased.Adjustable Throttle andBrake PedalThe vehicle has adjustable throttleand brake pedals that allow you tochange their positions.The feature will not operate whenthe vehicle is in R (Reverse) orwhile using the cruise control.The switch used to adjust thepedals is located on the centerconsole below the climate controlsystem.Press the right and left arrows tomove the pedals either closer orfurther from your body.Before you start driving, fully pressthe brake pedal to confirm theadjustment is right for you. Whiledriving, make only smalladjustments.The vehicle has a memory functionwhich allows the pedal positionsto be saved and recalled.
