When the CamRanger is bridged to another network itprovides two modes of operaLon. A device can connect to theCamRanger when that device is connected to either theCamRanger or bridged network. If the CamRanger is bridgedto an Internet connected network, devices on the CamRangernetwork will be able to access the Internet.NOTE: If the CamRanger is not able to join a network, such asdue to an invalid password, it is possible that CamRanger willnot create it its own network and the WiFi light will be off. Ifthis occurs, power on the CamRanger on where it cannotaccess the bridged network or temporarily turn off thebridged network. The bridged network within the CamRangernetwork sejngs can then be deleted or modified. Note thatthe SSID of the exisLng network must be less than 32characters and cannot contain an apostrophe or quotaLonmark.WiFi Bridging as well as other network configuraLon can beperformed using the CamRanger Sejngs applicaLon available for both OS X and Windows andcan assist with troubleshooLng. Please refer to CamRanger Sejngs User Guide for moreinformaLon.Using the Cell NetworkTypically if connected to a WiFi network, an iPad or iPhone will not use the cell network toconnect to the Internet, even if the device has cellular connecLvity. So when connected to theCamRanger WiFi network, by default it is not possible to reach the Internet. However, there isan unofficial work-around. If connecLon issues arise, reverLng back to the original configuraLonmay be required, however, most users have had good success simultaneously communicaLngwith the CamRanger over WiFi and the Internet over the cellular network. To configure thiswork-around, please use the following steps:• Open the iOS Sejngs app and select the WiFi secLon.• Join the CamRanger WiFi network• Afer the network is joined, select the informaLon buOon to the right of theCamRanger network name.• Note the IP Address assigned under the DHCP tab.• Select the StaLc stab.• Enter the IP Address noted from the DHCP tab.• Enter a Subnet Mask of 255.255.255.0• Leave all other fields blank. This guide is not intended to be a networking guide, but please note that it is possible thatconnecLon issues arise either with the iOS device or with other devices that may be on theCamRanger WiFi network.
