179You can either select and erase images one by one or erase them inone batch. Protected images (p.172) will not be erased.Once an image is erased, it cannot be recovered. Make sure youno longer need the image before erasing it. To prevent importantimages from being erased accidentally, protect them. Erasing aRAW+JPEG image will erase both the RAW and JPEG images.1 Playback the image to be erased.2 Press the <L> button.X The erase menu will appear at thebottom of the screen.3 Erase the image.X Turn the <5> dial to select [Erase],then press <0>. The imagedisplayed will be erased.By checkmarking the images to be erased, you can erase multipleimages at one time. With the [3 Erase images] menu option, select[Select and erase images].
