Raise the guides when loading a document, and thenalign them to both sides of the document to be scanned.(4) Feeder Cover Release LeverPull this lever to open the feeder cover when cleaning the scanner.(5) Feeder CoverOpen this when cleaning the scanner.(6) Eject OutletThis outlet is for ejecting documents when scanning is completed.(7) Card SlotInsert plastic cards here.(8) Card GuidesThese guides ensure that cards inserted in the card slot are fedstraight.(9) Feed Extension PlateOpen this plate to support the document when loading a longdocument.(10) Feed InletInsert the document to be scanned.(11) Start ButtonPress this button when CaptureOnTouch Lite is running to startscanning.When the power of the scanner is ON, this button lights and indicatesthe status of the scanner as shown below.Start buttonstatus MeaningLit The power of the scanner is ON.Flashing• Paper is jammed.• A double feed has been detected and thescanner has stopped.• The top unit is open.• Another scanner error has occurred.The Start button may blink slowly when the USB cable is connected andthe feed tray is opened. When this occurs, wait for the power indicator tostop blinking and light steadily before using the scanner.
