Video30Quick Start FunctionWhen you press thecamcorder enters the standbymode. In standby mode the camcorderconsumes only about half the powerused when recording, saving energywhen you are using a battery pack.Additionally, when you pressagain the camcorder isready to start recording within approx.1 second, ensuring you do not missimportant shooting opportunities.1 Press firmly.The standby lamp flashes at firstwhile the camcorder is preparing andthen stays on when it enters thestandby mode.2 When you wish to resumerecording, pressagain.Within approx. 1 second, thecamcorder is ready to record.NOTES• When you wake up the camcorder fromstandby mode, the following settingswill be changed automatically:- Manual focus returns to automaticfocus (AF).- Manual exposure adjustment returnsto automatic exposure.- Zoom position returns to full wide-angle W.• The camcorder will shut off if left instandby mode for 10 minutes,regardless of the [POWER SAVE] setting( 58).
