Troubleshooting71Cannot Print Properly from the Digital CameraThe following are the possible errors that may occur when printing directly from a digital stillcamera or digital video camcorder*, and the countermeasures to eliminate them.* Hereafter, the digital still camera and digital video camcorder are collectively called a digital camera or camera.* 1 To resume printing, you can press the RRESUME/CANCEL button on the printer instead of selecting CContinue.* 2 The waste ink absorber absorbs ink used during cleaning.Camera Error Message Possible Cause Try ThisPrinter in use Images are being printed fromthe computerWait until printing ends. The printer automatically startsprinting the images from the camera after completing thecurrent printing.Printer warming up The printer is warming up Wait until warm-up ends. When it is ready, the printer startsprinting automatically.No paper No paper is loaded Load the paper in the Auto Sheet Feeder of the printer andselect CContinue*1 in the display on your camera. The FrontSheet Feeder cannot be used for printing.Paper error The Paper Output Tray isclosed Open it. Printing will resume.Paper Jam A paper jam occurrs in theprinterSelect CCancel in the display on your camera to cancel the printjob. Remove the jammed paper, load new media, and press theRESUME/CCANCEL button.Printer cover open The Front Cover is open Close the Front Cover.No Print Head No Print Head is installed (ThePOWER lamp on the printerflashes five times)Install a Print Head according to theEasy Setup Instructions.If a Print Head has already been installed, remove it, check thatits contacts are clean, and then reinstall it.If the problem still remains, the Print Head may be defective.Contact the Customer Care Center.The Print Head is defective(The PPOWER lamp on theprinter flashes five times)Waste tank (Waste inkabsorber* 2 ) fullThe waste ink absorber* 2 isnearly fullThe printer has a built-in waste ink absorber to hold the inkused during Print Head cleaning. This error message indicatesthat the waste ink absorber is nearly full.Selecting CContinue* 1 in the display on your camera resumesprinting. Printing can be continued for a while, but printingcannot be continued when the waste ink absorber becomes full.Contact the Customer Care Center as soon as possible.Ink is low It is about time to replace theink tank with a new oneSelect CContinue* 1 in the display on your camera to resumeprinting.Ink tank is empty Replace the ink tank with anew onePrinting resumes once the Front Cover is closed after ink tankreplacement.You can continue printing by selecting CContinue* 1 in the displayon your camera with the ink tank empty. But, it is recommendedyou replace it with a new one immediately after printing. It maydamage the printer if you continue printing with empty inktanks.Printer error An error requiring servicingmight have occurred (ThePOWER lamp on the printerflashes alternately orange andgreen)Select CCancel in the display on your camera to cancel the printjob.Disconnect the cable connected to the camera, turn off theprinter, and unplug the power cord of the printer from theoutlet. Leave the printer for a while, plug the power cord of theprinter back in the outlet, turn on the printer, and connect thecamera to the printer.If the error persists, contact the Customer Care Center.
