Shooting - Selecting Particular Effects 73Auto Exposure Bracketing (AEB Mode)In this mode, the camera automatically changes the exposure within a set range totake three shots after you press the shutter button once. You can adjust AEB settingsin 1/3EV steps within the range of -2EV to +2EV of the standard exposure setting.AEB settings can be combined with exposure compensation settings (p. 69) to extendthe adjustment range. The images are shot in the following order: Standardexposure, underexposure and overexposure.1 Press the button threetimes.• The icon and the exposure compensation barwill appear in the display panel. The exposurecompensation bar will also appear in the LCDmonitor if it is on.2 Press the or arrow on the omniselector to expand or contract therange.• The arrow expands the range, the arrowcontracts it.3 Press the button.• You can also take the picture with the setexposure compensation value by pressing theshutter button without pressing thebutton.• To cancel the AEB setting, reset it to .4 Shoot the image.• If you pressed the shutter button at Step 3,the icon and the exposure compensation barwill reappear after the shot, allowing you tochange the setting for the next shot.• The AEB mode cannot be used for flash photography. If the flash fires, only oneimage gets recorded.• This function can only be selected in the , and shooting modes.• The selected AEB setting will be memorized even when the camera’s power isturned off.
