54Setting the Scanner DriverWhen you scan a document in an ISIS compatible (CapturePerfect,etc.) or TWAIN compatible application, open the scanner driver andconfigure the scanning conditions and other settings.This section describes the configuration and functions of the scannerdriver.Configuration and Functions of theScanner DriverThe scanner driver consists of the following tabs.HintFor details on the setting screen, see the Help of the scanner driver.Click the [Help] button of the driver to display help related to thecorresponding tab or dialog box.[Basic] tabConfigure basic scanning conditions such as the mode, page size,resolution, and scanning side.In addition, you can click the [Area] button and specify the area to bescanned.HintDepending on the ISIS compatible application, the application mayhave its own screen for setting scanning conditions. If the scannerdriver is opened in such an application, setting items related to thefunctions provided by the scanner driver other than scanningconditions will be displayed on the [Basic] tab.[Brightness] tabAdjust the brightness and contrast of scanned images.In addition, you can also click [Gamma] and set the gamma correctionvalue for scanned images.
