Directory DialingDirectory dialing allows you to look up a name you have registered in themachine and retrieve the number for dialing. This feature is convenient whenyou know the party’s name but cannot recall the one-touch speed dialing keyor the code for speed dialing or group dialing where the number is registered.1 Press [Directory]. appears if there are no numbers registered, and the display returnsto the dial entry mode.2 Press a numeric key to enter the first letter of the name youare searching for.For example, if you want to search for a name that starts with the letter “H,” press[4] (GHI) twice.3 Press [Set].• The names registered in the machine are displayed according to the letter youentered.• If there is no name that starts with the letter you entered, the next name inalphabetical order appears.4 Press [4 ] or [ e] to display other names.• Pressing [ e] displays the names registered in the machine in alphabetical order.Pressing [4 ] displays them in reverse order.• When you reach the last name, the display returns to the first name.5 Press [Set].The party’s fax number and name, or and the group’s nameappear.SetSet
