It is also stronglysuggested to use dedicated and properly grounded outlets for eachoptional accessory. Do not use extension cords. The ground connectionserves to provide the internal electronics with a reference voltage. Faultyor poor ground sources will cause this reference voltage to fall into arange that no longer serves as a reliable reference voltage. The internallogic and programming of the imagePROGRAF iPF785/780 printers willnot perform reliably because there is an insufficient difference betweenthe internal operating signal voltages and the poor ground referencesignal.
