Step 6 -- Position and Connect ControllerWired controllers should be installed in a position that main-tains good temperature control:• Position the thermostat approximately 48 in. above floorlevel.• Do not position thermostat where it can be directlyaffected by the unit's discharge airstream.• Avoid external walls and drafts from windows and doors.• Avoid positioning near shelves and curtains as theserestrict air movement.• Avoid heat sources such as direct sunlight, heaters, dim-mer switches, and other electrical devices.REMOTE WIRELESS CONTROLLER -- Before installa-tion, operate the remote controller to determine the appropriatelocation for reception range. Make sure the remote controller isa minimum of 3.25 ft away from any electronic equipmentsuch as a television or stereo system to avoid cross interferenceor disturbance. Avoid direct sunlight exposure or heatingsources. Use proper mounting screws and controller bracket tomount the controller on the wall (see Fig. 11). For setup in-structions, refer to the controller installation manual.MOUNTINGSCREWS_ 1REMOTE CONTROLLERREMOTE HOLDERCONTROLLERFig. 11 -- Remote Wireless ControllerREMOTE WIRED CONTROLLER (PROGRAMMA-BLE) -- To connect a remote progralrunable wired controller(thermostat) to the indoor unit, use 4-core shielded cable and4-pin connector from electrical box of indoor unit (see Fig. 12).For setup instructions, refer to the controller installationmanual.WIRED REMOTECONTROLLER4-PIN CONNECTORFROM ELECTRICAL BOXFig. 12 -- Remote Wired Controller(Programmable) WiringREMOTE WIRED CONTROLLER (NON-PROGRAM-MABLE)- To connect remote non-progralmnable wiredcontroller (thermostat) to the indoor unit, use 5-core shieldedcable and 5-pin connector from unit display panel (see Fig. 13).For setup instructions, refer to the controller installationmanual.iNDOOR UNiTELECTRmC CONTROL BOXq=INDOOR UNiTELECTRIC CONTROLPANELiNDOOR UNiTDmSPLAY PANEL\ 5-CORE SHIELDED CABLE5-CORE CABLEFig. 13 -- Remote Wired Controller(Non-Programmable) WiringCENTRAL CONTROLLER-- The central controller isconnected to the indoor unit through outdoor unit with 3-coreshielded cable (see Fig. 14).
