6-28T-268-07NOTESuction pressure must be 0.5 kg/cm@ (6 psig)below valve maximum operating pressure(M.O.P.). Example: if valve rated at 55 MOP,suction pressure must be below this MOP.Recommended pressure is below 3.44 kg/cm@(49 psig).6.27 CONTROLLER/DATACORDERa. Handling of Controller/DataCORDERThese guidelines should be followed when handling theController/DataCORDER module. These steps shouldbe implemented when replacing the module, whendoing any arc welding on the unit, or when service to therefrigeration unit requires handling and removal of theController.CAUTIONRemove Controller/DataCORDER moduleand unplug all connectors beforeperforming any arc welding on any part ofthe container.Do not remove wire harnesses from modulesunless you are grounded to the unit framewith a static safe wrist strap.1. Obtain a grounding wrist strap and a staticdissipation mat. The wrist strap, when properlygrounded, will dissipate any potential buildup onthe body. The dissipation mat will provide astatic-free work surface on which to place and/orservice the Controller/DataCORDER module.NOTEUse a dissipation mat, order CTD P/N07-00277-00.2. Disconnect and secure power to the unit.3. Place strap on wrist and attach the ground or clipend of the wrist strap to any exposed unpaintedmetal area on the refrigeration unit frame (bolts, screws, etc.).4. Carefully remove the Controller/DataCORDER.Do not touch any of the electrical components ifpossible. Place the module on the static mat.5. If you are servicing the refrigeration unit, you arefree to remove the ground strap from your wrist andcomplete your work.6. Upon completion of your service work, put thewrist strap back on, and re-install the module intothe refrigeration unit.b. Removing and Installing theController/DataCORDER ModuleRemoval:1. Disconnect all front wire harness connectors (MA,MB, MC, KA & KB) and move wiring out of way.2. Loosen one mounting screw (see Figure 6-31, item1) and pull out the top of the module (item 2). Lift upand out.3. Turning the module around will give access to thetwo back connectors (EC) which can bedisconnected. Remove module.4. Remove the new Controller/DataCORDER modulefrom its packaging and install it in the refrigerationunit. Place the old module into the same packagingthat accompanied the new module. Make sure thatyou package it in the exact manner that you receivedit.1 2 341. Mounting Screw2. Controller/DataCORDER Module3. Test Points4. Controller/DataCORDER SoftwareProgramming PortFigure 6-31.
