EnglishConnectionsE-7Pedal ConnectorYou can connect the optionally available 3-Pedal Unit(SP-33) to the pedal connector on the bottom of theDigital Piano. You can then use the pedals forexpression that is similar to that available on anacoustic piano.NOTE• The SP-33 Pedal Unit supports half-pedal operation(pressing the pedal part way). You can adjust theamount of the effect is applied when the damperpedal is pressed part way. For details, see “HalfPedal Effect” (page E-46).• The optionally available CS-67P special stand isrequired in order to use the SP-33 Pedal Unit.You can connect audio equipment or a music amplifierto the Digital Piano and then play through externalspeakers for more powerful volume and better soundquality.IMPORTANT!• The Digital Piano automatically adjusts sound outputto optimize for headphone output (when headphonesare connected) or built-in speaker output (whenheadphones are not connected). This also will causea change in the output quality from the DigitalPiano’s LINE OUT R and L/MONO jacks.• Whenever connecting a device to the Digital Piano,first use the VOLUME controller to set the volume toa low level.
