CM-4221 Installation Manual104.4 Initial Camera ConfigurationTo perform the initial camera configuration:1.) Using the supplied star-bit tool, unscrew the mini-dome cover, and remove it.2.) Plug the CAT5 cable into the camera’s Ethernet port. If the network doesn’tprovide PoE 802.3af, wire a properly rated 12VDC/24VAC power supply into theterminal-block plug and plug it into the power terminals. See polarity noted in HDSeries Connections image.3.) Do one of the following: Copy and run the DeviceSearch.exe from the included CD. From the Latitude Sidebar, run the Unified Configurator by selectingApplications Device Configuration Tool and then on the UnifiedConfigurator screen, click DVTel HD Series.4.) In the DeviceSearch application, click Device Search and do the following:a.) In the search results, click on the camera to select it.b.) Right-click and select from the shortcut menu Network Setup.c.) In the dialog that appears, select Static IP.d.) Enter the IP Address, Gateway and Netmask (network mask) as neededand click OK.5.) Disconnect the Ethernet cable and, if you are using a power supply, turn off thepower to the power supply and unplug it. The camera is ready for deployment in asite installation (mounting).Note: The camera can be connected to a PC for bench installation via an Ethernetcross-cable.
