It can cause severe damageto the unit’s electrical components.WARNINGElectrical shock hazard Can cause severe injury ordeathConnect only low voltage NEC Class II circuits toterminal block TB2.DANGEROverheating or failure of the gas supply to shut off cancause equipment damage, severe personal injury ordeath Turn off the manual gas valve to the appliance beforeshutting off the electrical supply.Pre-ConstructionThe Rebel unit comes equipped with a Microtech III controllerand can be used for sites that are still under construction. Thefollowing conditions must be met.1 Ductwork has to be installed. The fan proving switchand furnace might not run correctly without the specifiedexternal static pressure2 Filters must be installed3 Follow furnace commissioning instructions found in thefurnace section.4 After substantial completion of the construction processthe unit is to be thoroughly cleaned. Special attentionshould be paid to the indoor DX coil and the furnace.Filters should be changed5 Furnace operation, rate, and temperature rise should bere-verified. See instructions found in the furnace section.Lab Pressurization Applications1 Install a “T” fitting with a leak-tight removable cap in eachtube near the sensor fitting. This facilitates connecting amanometer or pressure gauge if testing is required.2 Use different colored tubing for the controlled spacepressure (high) and reference pressure (low) taps, or tagthe tubes.3 Regardless whether the controlled space is positive ornegative with respect to its reference, locate the highpressure tap in the controlled space (the setpoint can beset between -0.2" and 0.2" wc).4 Locate the reference pressure (low) tap in the areasurrounding the controlled space. Not locating thereference tap to the sensor results in unsatisfactoryoperation5 Locate both taps so they are not influenced by any sourceof moving air (velocity pressure). These sources mayinclude air diffusers or doors between the high and lowpressure areas6 Route the building tap tube between the curb and thesupply duct and feed it into the unit through the knockoutin the bottom of the control panel.7 Connect the tube to the (high) fitting for sensor SPS2.eleCTrICal InsTallaTIonwww.DaikinApplied.com 15 IM 1125-7 • REBEL ROOFTOPS
