General instructions• Align the clamping set to the axis of theservomotor• Insert the shaft(s) in the clamping setNOTEDo not use a hammer for fitting, since this will damage theequipment.• Screw the clamping set togetherBelt drivesFit the belt pulleys for the belt drive in according with theinstructions in the original manufacturer's documentationfor the belt drive. If using a belt drive:• Check the belt tension• The radial load on the motor shaft may notexceed the maximum allowable radial force (see12.8 Permitted Forces)5.6 Electrical InstallationFor the electrical connection, the relevant local andnational regulations must be observed in addition to theinformation in these operating instructions.5.6.1 Electrical Environmental ConditionsCompliance with the following electrical environmentalconditions is necessary to enable safe and effectiveoperation of the servomotor:• Earthed 3-phase mains network, 400 V AC• 3-phase frequency 47-53 Hz• 3-phase lines and PE line• Observe national statutory provisions• Observe leakage current5.6.2 Connecting/Disconnecting HybridCablesWARNINGHIGH VOLTAGEPotentially lethal voltage is present on the connectors. Before working on the power connectors (disconnecting orconnecting the cable), disconnect the power supplymodule from the mains and wait for the discharge time toelapse.WARNINGDISCHARGE TIMEThe DC link capacitors of the servomotors remain chargedfor some time after the mains supply is switched off at thepower supply module. To avoid electrical shock, fully disconnect the powersupply module from the mains before carrying outmaintenance. The DC links of the individual ISDservomotors are connected in parallel when they areconnected as a group, which increases the discharge time.Wait for at least the time listed below before carrying outmaintenance work:Number Minimum waiting time(discharge time)1-60 servomotors 10 minutesNote: High voltage may be present even if the LED on the ISDconnection box is not lit!Table 5.2 Discharge TimeGeneral instructions for cable installationBefore installing the cable, note that:• The female connector of the cable should beconnected to the male connector on theservomotor• The male connector of the cable should beconnected to the female connector on theservomotor• The feed cable is not fitted with a connector onthe input end. The cable leads are connecteddirectly to the terminals in the connection box• Sufficient slack, especially with regard to therange of motion of the installed servomotor, mustbe provided for all cables• All cables must be secured in accordance withregulations and depending on conditions on site.It must not be possible for cables to come loose, even after prolonged operation.CAUTIONNever connect or disconnect the hybrid cables to or fromthe servomotors when the supply voltage is present. Doingso will damage the electronic circuitry. Observe thedischarge time for the DC link capacitors.NOTEDo not forcefully connect or fit the connectors. Incorrectconnection will cause permanent damage to theconnector.Installation/Fitting VLT® ISD 410 Servomotor Operating InstructionsMG75D102 - VLT® is a registered Danfoss trademark 235 5
