Determine the desired character length. Pad the number with leadingzeroes to yield two digits. For example: 0 = 00, 5 = 05, 20 = 20, etc.2. Scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE bar code to enter Program-ming Mode.3. Scan the “Select Length 1 Setting” for the symbology being set.4. Scan the appropriate two digits from the keypad in Appendix D, Keypad, thatrepresent the length setting which was determined in the steps above. Youwill hear a two-beep indication after the last character.NOTEIf you make a mistake before the last character, scan the CANCEL barcode to abort and not save the entry string. You can then start againat the beginning.5. Scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE bar code to exit ProgrammingMode.This completes the procedure.
