For the addition of more than two suffix characters, con-tact your distributor or technical support representative for Full LabelEdit (FLE) options.Identify your specific system requirements before adding or modifyingthese settings, then follow these steps:1. Look at the ASCII chart shown on the inside back cover of thismanual, and identify the ASCII character(s) and the corre-sponding Hex Code(s) for the ASCII characters you will use assuffixes.For example, if you are going to send two suffix characters as ‘LF’ (LineFeed) and ‘CR’ (Carriage Return). The ASCII chart shows that ‘LF’equals 0A hex and ‘CR’ equals 0D hex.2. Scan the SET bar code on page 60.3. Scan the Set Suffix bar code.4. Turn to Appendix C: Keypad on page 193, and scan the four digitscorresponding to the Hex Values determined in step oneabove. (For the example, scan 0, A, 0, D), then go to step five.IMPORTANT NOTEIf you are using the Universal Wedge interface,do not modify the suffix setting. Refer to theUniversal Wedge Programming Guide to mod-ify the suffix setting.NOTEIf you make a mistake or lose your place whilesetting this option, scan the END bar code toexit Programming Mode. The scanner willsound a two-beep error tone to indicate thatprogramming was incomplete, and the settingwill remain as it was before entering Program-ming Mode.NOTESuccessful programming of a suffix requires4 digits.
