If you enable this feature,your bar codes must contain a Check Digit.If the Check Digit is not calculated, the digit will be sent regardless ofsettings for transmit or don’t transmit. For example, if you choose toTransmit Check Digit, but not calculate, the scanner sends the CheckDigit encoded in the bar code without verifying its accuracy.Label LengthFormat Label length format permits the selection between variable length orfixed length formats. For best performance it is recomended to use theFixed Length settings when your application requires only one or twolabel lengths.Variable Length Format - directs the scanner to read all labels from theminimum label length to 50. Set Minimum Length as high as yourapplication allows.Minimum Label Length - selects the minimum label lengththat the scanner will recognize. The minimum label length forthis symbology must be an even number of characters between02 and 50 1.Fixed Length Format - directs the scanner to read only one or two labellengths.If you select fixed length format, there are three bar code labels for pro-gramming your scanner to read either one or two fixed lengths. Thelabels are:Set First Fixed Length - instructs the scanner that the next twoprogramming labels scanned will define the first fixed labellength. This setting can be any even number of charactersbetween 02 and 501 characters.1. For this symbology, the scanner will decode up to 50 characters, but the actual length read willvary depending upon the interface type, and bar code physical size and quality.
