18Removing the filterIf you want to use the appliance without the filter, you mustremove it and notify the appliance of its removal.Proceed as follows:1. Extract the tank and exhausted filter;2. Press the P button to enter the menu;3. Turn the selection dial (fig. 8) until “Install filter*” isdisplayed;4. Press the button;5. “Disable?” is displayed;6. Position a container under the hot water spout (min.capacity: 500 ml);14. Press the button to confirm the selection. Theappliance begins hot water delivery and the message“Please wait” is displayed;15. After delivery, the appliance is automatically ready to makethe next drink.The new filter is active and indicated by an asterisk displayedunder “Install filter” in the menu. You can now use theappliance.Replacing the filterWhen “Replace filter” is displayed, after two months (seedate indicator) or when the appliance has not been used for 3weeks, you should replace the filter:1. Extract the tank and exhausted filter;2. Take the new filter out of its packet and proceed asillustrated in points 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 in the previoussection.3. Position a container with a minimum capacity of 500 mlunder the hot water spout.4. Press the P button to enter the menu.5. Turn the selection dial until “Replace filter” is displayed.6. Press the button.7. “Confirm?” is displayed.8. Press the button to confirm the selection;9. “Hot water Confirm?” is displayed;10. Press the button to confirm the selection. Theappliance begins hot water delivery and the message“Please wait” is displayed;11. After delivery, the appliance is automatically ready to makethe next drink.The new filter is now active and you can use the coffeemachine.
