Excess heat and moi-sture are removed before the air is re-emittedinto the room. With portable air conditioners, a small part of thisair is used to cool the refrigerant gas and then, when hot and damp, is discharged outside. In the spring and autumn, the appliance can alsobe used to heat. The efficient heat pump system provides a highheating capacity with low energy consumption. All Pinguino models can also be used in fan-onlymode.pREpARING FOR USEThe instructions below will enable you to prepareyour air conditioner for operation as efficientlyas possible. Before use, make sure the air intake and outletgrilles are unobstructed.Air-conditioning without installationJust a few simple steps and your comfort is en-sured with your appliance:• fit the air exhaust hose (F) in the housing atthe back of the appliance (fig. 1).• In order to improve the performance of the-appliance in air conditioning and boost(supercool) modes, you can also fitthe intake hose accessory (M) in its housingin the back of the appliance as shown in figu-re 1A.
