SENTINEL 3 15Important notes before operation1. To power off the DVR, make sure the DVR is not recording to prevent file corruption.If on manual record, press STOP to stop recording and wait for the REC light to turnoff before you power off the DVR. If in schedule record, press MENU and enter thepassword to enter the menu screen. When the record light turns off, you can poweroff the DVR.2. The default password is 11111111.3. This DVR does not support HDD hot swap. To prevent damage, please enter themain menu to stop all HDD activities, then power-off the device before replacing thehard disk.4. After power-on, the DVR auto detects the video system (NTSC/PAL) of the firstcamera connected. When no camera has been connected, the video system will bethe same as the previous setup.5. After power-on the system auto enters 9-split screen mode, and continues with thepreviously setup recording schedule (auto resume recording)4. MONITOR OPERATION4.1 BASIC OPERATION1. Manual Switching Video Inputs: Press the AV button on the remote to switch betweenvideo inputs.2. Press the AUTO button on the monitor to activate auto mode, which will automaticallycycle between both inputs. Pressing it once will set the cycle interval to 4 seconds.Pressing it again will set the cycle interval to 6 seconds. Pressing it a third time willset the cycle interval to 8 seconds. Pressing it a fourth time will turn off auto mode4.2 ADJUSTING SETTINGSPress the menu button to display the following options:PICTURE, OPTION, CLOCK, SYSTEM4.2.1 PICTURE1. Press the menu button once to display the PICTURE menu.2. In this menu you can adjust Contrast, Brightness, Color, and Sharpness3. Use the channel up and down buttons to select the desired setting, and use thevolume buttons to increase or decrease the values.4. Press the MENU key to exit the PICTURE menu.4.2.2 OPTION1. Press the menu button twice to display the OPTION menu.2. In this menu you can adjust Language, Calendar, and Auto Change Source3. To change the language, select it and use the volume keys to scroll through theavailable languages.
