To prevent overheatingensure that you leave at least 10.2 cm (4 inches)at the back of the computer and a minimum of5.1 cm (2 inches) on all other sides. You shouldnever place your computer in an enclosedspace, such as a cabinet or drawer when it ispowered on.WARNING: Do not block, push objectsinto, or allow dust to accumulate inthe air vents. Do not place your Dell™computer in a low-airflow environment,such as a closed briefcase, or on fabricsurfaces, such as carpets or rugs, whileit is powered on. Restricting the airflowcan damage the computer, deteriorate thecomputer performance, or cause a fire.The computer turns on the fan when thecomputer gets hot.
