7. Carefully slide the drive bay caddy into the drive bay until it snaps into place. If the drive bay caddy contains the primary hard drive, insert the caddyinto the upper-most bay.8. Connect the power and data cables to the drive(s).9. Check the drive cabling to ensure that the cables are attached to the correct connectors, and the connectors are fully seated.10. Secure the hard drive data and power cables to the cable guides on the heatsink assembly.11. Perform the procedure After Working on Your Computer.12. Reboot the computer and press F2 when prompted to enter system Setup (see the Dell™ Technology Guide for more information).a. In the Settings menu, select Drives, and select Drives on the sub- menu.b. Enable the SATA port for the drive installed, if necessary.c. Verify that the SATA port device information presented is correct.d. Click Apply, then Exit.13. If the drive you just installed is the primary drive with no bootable system:a. Insert bootable media into a boot drive.b. Reboot the system and press F12 when prompted to enter the Boot Device Menu.c. Select the boot device with the bootable media and press Next.14.
