Disconnect the power and data cables from the back of the tape backup unit.Note the routing of the power and data cables inside the chassis as you remove them from thesystem board and the tape backup unit. You must route these cables properly when you replacethem to prevent them from being pinched or crimped.2. To remove the tape backup unit, press the release tab and slide the tape backup unit out of the tapebackup unit slot.NOTE: If the tape backup unit is being permanently removed, install a tape backup unit blank bysliding it into the slot until it snaps into place.NOTE: The procedure to install and remove the tape backup unit blank is similar to that of thetape backup unit.NOTE: Tape backup unit blank must be installed in empty tape backup unit slot to maintain FCCcertification of the system. The blank also keeps dust and dirt out of the system and aid inproper cooling and airflow inside the system.165
