18Using Your Studio XPS™5 eSATA/USB combo connectorwith PowerShare – Connects to eSATAcompatible storage devices (such asexternal hard-disk drives or optical drives)or USB devices (such as a mouse, keyboard,printer, external drive, or MP3 player). Thisconnector can also be used for chargingUSB devices when the computer is inpower on/off or sleep state. This functionmay not work with certain external deviceswhen the computer is in power off or sleepstate, even if they are compliant with theUSB specification. In such cases, turn thecomputer on to charge the device.NOTE: If the computer is poweredoff or turned to sleep state while theUSB device is charging, unplug theUSB device and plug it in again tocontinue charging the device.NOTE: The USB PowerShareautomatically shuts off when only10% of the total battery life remains.6 AC adapter connector – Connectsto the AC adapter which powers thecomputer and charges the battery.7 Power light – Illuminates when thecomputer is powered on.
