29Playing an iPodYou can use the USB cable provided with the iPod to connect the iPodwith the unit’s USB port and enjoy music stored on the iPod.For information on the iPod models that can be played back with thisunit, see “Connecting an iPod or USB memory device to the USBport” (vpage 16).Listening to music on an iPodThe iPod display modes include “From iPod” and “On-Screen”.By default, “From iPod”, where you directly operate the iPod itselfwhile looking at the iPod screen, is set.To change to “On-Screen”, where you perform operations whilehaving the iPod information displayed on the TV screen, see “Settingoperation mode (iPod Browse Mode)” (vpage 30).1 Using the USB cable providedwith the iPod, connect the iPodto the USB port (vpage 16).2 Press POWER X to turn onpower to the unit.3 Press iPod/USB to switch theinput source to “iPod/USB”.“Browse From iPod” is displayed onthe display of this unit.• Nothing is displayed on the TV screen.4 Operate iPod itself directlywhile seeing the iPod screen toplay back music.n Streaming music stored in iPhone, iPod touch,or iPad directly to the unit (vpage 67)n Playing iTunes music with this unit(vpage 67)Operations available through the OPTION buttonPress the OPTION button to display a menu of functions that can beused on the TV screen.
