Getting Started• Avoid lengthy exposure to extreme heat or cold. Your balance worksbest when operated within the temperature limits listed in the specifica-tions. Always allow the unit to acclimate to a stable temperature beforecalibration.• Allow at least 30 minutes of warm up time before starting weighing oper-ation or calibration to give internal components sufficient time to stabi-lize.• Keep your operating environment as clean as possible. Electrostaticfields, gravitational fields, dust, dirt, moisture, vibration, air currents, andproximity to other electronic equipment can all have an adverse effect onthe reliability and accuracy of your unit.• Handle with care. Carefully set weighing pan onto top of unit until level.Gently apply all items to be weighed onto the center of pan.
