Drill holes at marked locations using 5/16" drill bit. For solidfloors (concrete or masonry), drill at least 1" deep.2. Fold floor anchor as shown in Figure 28.3. Insert floor anchor (wings first) into hole. Tap anchor flushto floor.4. Insert mounting screws through base and into floor anchors.5. Follow all local codes.CAUTION: Never connect propane/LP fireplacedirectly to the propane/LP supply. This fireplacerequires an external regulator (not supplied). Installthe external regulator between the fireplace and pro-pane/LP supply.For propane/LP units, the installer must supply an external regula-tor. The external regulator will reduce incoming gas pressure. Youmust reduce incoming gas pressure to between 11 and 14 inches ofwater. If you do not reduce incoming gas pressure, fireplaceregulator damage could occur. Install external regulator with thevent pointing down as shown in Figure 29. Pointing the vent downprotects it from freezing rain or sleet.WARNING: This appliance requires a 45° male flarefitting 5/8"-18 UNF (Unified National Fine Thread) inletconnection and the flexible gas line provided.WARNING: Never connect natural gas fireplace toprivate (non-utility) gas wells.
