I for any reason this clampdoesn't work on your fireplace, another suitableclamp or permanent stop must be installed ordamper blade must be removed.INSTALLING HEATER ASSEMBLYCAUTION: Do not remove thedata plates attached to the heaterbase assembly. The data platescontain important warranty andsafety information.WARNING: If installing in asunken fireplace, special careis needed. You must raise thefireplace floor to allow access toheater control panel. This will in-sure adequate air flow and guardagainst sooting and controls be-ing damaged. Raise fireplace floorwith noncombustible material.Make sure material is secure.CAUTION: Do not pick upheater assembly by the logs. Thiscould damage heater. Only han-dle base assembly by grates.IMPORTANT: Make sure appliance is level.
