Playback startsautomatically. If playback does not start, press on the remotecontrol or the player to start the playback.• To stop the playback, press . The player notes the stoppedpoint, depending on the disc.• Press to resume playback (from the stopped point). Tostart playback from the beginning of the disc, pressagain, then press . Your player starts playback at thebeginning of the disc.• During playback, press to fast forward through the disc.Each time the button is pressed, the fast forward motionspeed changes. Press to resume normal playback.• During playback, press to fast reverse through the disc.Each time the button is pressed, the fast reversemotion speed changes. Press to resume normalplayback.• During playback, press to return to the start of theprevious chapter. Each time you press this key you can skip achapter, back to the start of the disc.• During playback, press to skip the current chapter andplay the next chapter.• During playback, press repeatedly to step forward frameby frame in the video. Press to resume normal playback.5 Press /OPEN/CLOSE to open the tray, then remove the disc.6 Press /OPEN/CLOSE to close the disc tray, or press/STANDBY. The disc tray closes automatically and the playerturns off.Note: The symbol may appear on your TV display during playback.This symbol indicates that the function you selected is not permittedby your player or specific media.Playback optionsRemote control functionsThe following functions are applicable only to DVD discs. If other discformats are played, screen display and operation will be different.• CLEAR—This button can be used to clear any incorrectinformation that may have been input.• SEARCH—Press this button one time and the screen will openthe Search menu. Press it a second time to cancel the searchfunction. In the search menu you can press or tohighlight the item what you want, then press OK to confirm.• DVD MENU—Press this button to display the root menu, thenselect an item according to your preference. (Valid on DVDs withmulti-layer menus.)• SETUP—Press this button to display the on-screen setup menu.• AUDIO—Press this button to change the audio mode (such asAudio 1/2-AC 3 2 CH English, or Audio 2/2- AC 3 5.1 CH English).Note: When this button is pressed repeatedly, you must waitapproximately three seconds.• SUBTITLE—Press this button and the screen displays "SUBTITLE01/XX XXXXX." "01" indicates the ordinal number of thislanguage, "XX" indicates total number of languages available,and "XXXXXX" is the language. (The number of languagesavailable depends on the DVD).• ZOOM—Press this button to zoom in on the picture. Each timeyou press the button, the magnification level will change.• TOP MENU—Press this button to display the title menu(available on some DVDs).• REPEAT—Press once to repeat a Chapter. Press twice to repeat aTitle. Press three times to repeat All. Press four times to cancelrepeat.• A-B REPEAT—Press once to select a starting point to repeat,then press again to set the end point. The selected section will berepeated. Press a third time to cancel.• ANGLE—Press to view the action from different angles (notavailable on all DVDs).• PROGRAM—Press to display the program information window.Press the number buttons to input the program number whatyou want. When finished, move the cursor to select the Startlogo. The program starts playback and the screen displays“Program.” To cancel, press , then press OK.• RESOLUTION—Press to set the video output resolution. Optionsinclude: 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p, and Auto.Note: Setting a resolution your TV cannot support could result in anunstable picture or a loss of picture.
