ATS Catalog #G003 ATHAV003 ATH2AG03 ATHMWB01 ATHIATHSNTHSPPHXOperationTo operate the switch manually or if breaker trips, unplug P3 fromS3 to disconnect the motor circuit. Turn and hold brake releaselever to "HOLD FOR MANUAL OPERATION" position, and thenrotate manual operator knob in either direction to move ATS intodesired position. Then let go of brake release lever for "AUTO-MATIC OPERATION" (Figures 1 and 2).NOTICEIF A TRANSFER SWITCH WITH ANY KIND OF ELECTRICAL OPERAT-ING CAPABILITIES IS TO BE OPERATED MANUALLY UTILIZING THEMANUAL OPERATING HANDLE, IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDEDTHAT THE TRANSFER MOTOR CIRCUIT FIRST BE ISOLATED. THIS ISACCOMPLISHED BY UNPLUGGING THE S3 PLUG MARKED MOTORDISCONNECT. IF, HOWEVER, A TRANSFER SWITCH IS SUPPLIEDWITH A FOUR POSITION SELECTOR SWITCH (OPTION 6H), IT CANBE TURNED TO THE "OFF" POSITION, MAKING IT UNNECESSARY TOUNPLUG THE S3 PLUG. IN THE CASE OF THE AUTOMATIC TRANS-FER SWITCH DESIGN, ANY ATTEMPT TO OPERATE THE MANUALHANDLE WITHOUT FIRST ISOLATING THE MOTOR CIRCUIT CAUSESAN AUTOMATIC TRANSFER.Figure 1.
