115. Installation eLLK 92..A LED NE;eLLS 08...A LED NEThe respective national regulations as well as the general rules ofengineering which apply to the installation and operation ofexplosion protected apparatus, will have to be observed!Transport and storage of the luminaire is permitted in originalpacking and specified position only!Installing the light output upwards additional protection has tobe assembled to avoid permanent water accumulations at theprotective bowl gasket area.Mind:For handrail mounting (e.g. mounted at 45°) we recommend replacing theexisting cover of the locking bolt with the version part no 22216904000.5.1 Opening and closing the light fitting– Turn the central locking device with a box spanner (opening of thespanner SW 13) through 90° to its lock-in position and fold down theprotective bowl, see fig. 3.Caution: If an unsuitable tool is used, frictional turning of thecentral locking device can not be guaranteed and the device may bedamaged.– Fit in and remove the protective bowl acc. to fig. 5 and 6.– The protective bowl can, at option, be hinged on either side.– When closing the protective bowl, pull out slightly to avoid the catchmechanism touching the LED module reflector (Photo 8a)– To close the light fitting, press the protective bowl tightly onto theluminaire housing and turn the central locking device through 90°.The integrity of the fitting may be compromised if the fixingcentres are not correctly aligned, see fig. 9 - 10. When fixing themounting accessories onto the light fitting, observe the max. depthof thread of 14 mm!Do not use too long screws!Accessories for mounting: See CCH / EATON catalogue.5.2 Mains connectionTo open the connection box, turn the green handle to its stop in thedirection of arrow, then pull it and fold down the flap (fig. 3 and 4).For power connection, use cables with copper conductor.– Introduce the cable through the Ex cable entry (fig. 4). Use sealinginserts 1,2 and 3 for cables from 8 to 10 mm Ø, sealing inserts 1 and 2for cables from 10 to 13 mm Ø and sealing insert 1 for cables from 13,5to 17,5 mm Ø. Pay attention to the proper fit of the sealing insertremaining in the cable gland.– Connect the conductors to the terminalsPE, N, L1, L, (L2, L3) in accordance with the terminal marking (wiringdiagrams, page 3). Also tighten vacant terminals!Mind: The charging conductor L andthe luminaire’s mains connection must always be connected to thesame external conductor of the mains supply!Attention: In case of unused cable entries, remove their protectivecover and close the entries with a blanking plug. When closing thegland with a blanking plug, always use both sealing inserts! Whenmetal cable entries are used, the protective caps of the unusedentries are to be removed and the entries to be closed with certifiedEx blanking plugs!3. Conformity with standardsThe light fitting is suitable for use in zone 1, 21, 2 and 22 hazardous areasacc. to IEC/EN 60079-10-1 and IEC/EN 60079-10-2.The light fitting is conform to the standards specified in the EU-Declara-tion of conformity, enclosed separately.References to standards and directives in these operating instructionsalways relate to the latest version. Other additions (e.g. details relating tothe year) shall be observed.4. Special functional featuresCharging the batteryIn mains operation the light fitting is charged by means of a constantcurrent charger. Charging takes place via the unswitched external phase Lto prevent an interruption, even when the luminaire is switched off. Withregular operation of the light fitting the charging current is measured sothat a flat battery will have obtained approx. 90% of its rated capacitywithin 14 h. It is suitable for a continuous charge of the battery. In emergency operation a deep discharge protection with reclosurepreventing device monitors the battery voltage and prevents theaccumulators deep discharge.System modesWhen a voltage is applied, the LED module in the light fitting can beswitched on and off with the light switch. There are two system modes for emergency operation:1. Independent system mode:If the terminals on the terminal block 3-4 (wiring diagrams) are bridged, there will be an automatic changeover to emergency operation in theevent of a mains failure. On the eLLM92 pole mounted light fitting this bridge is established on theterminals S1 and S2 (wiring diagram).2. Dependent system modeWhen removing the bridge (B), terminal 3-4 (eLLK/S) or bridge (D) terminalS1 - S2 (eLLM 92) the emergency light function can be separatelyswitched on and off via a remote switch installed outside in the event of amains failure. Connect the remote switch to terminal 3-4 (eLLK/S) or to S1and S2 (eLLM 92). Max.20 luminaires can be connected to one remote switch (wiring diagram).Setting the emergency duration:1.5 hours: connect Bridge "C" between terminals 5 and 63.0 hours: remove Bridge "C" between terminals 5 and 6.Explosion protected emergency light fittingsSeries: eLLK(M)(S)92 LED 400A(800A) NE GB
