EATON HP-30 MOTOR SERVICE MANUAL E-MOGG-RR001-E June 2015 27Reassembly(Single and Two Speed Standard and Wheel Motor)9.0 Valve housing assembly9.0.1 Install one poppet, spring, dash pot and threadedinternal hex plug with O-ring into shuttle valve borefrom one end of Valve Housing.9.0.2 Install shuttle piston from opposite end of shuttlevalve cavity.9.0.3 Install one shuttle valve poppet, spring, dash pot ontopiston and threaded internal hex plug with O-ringfrom opposite end of shuttle valve cavity.9.0.4 Shuttle plug threads may have light coat of oil orpreservative. Torque both plugs to 360 +/- 36 lbf-in.9.0.5 For a motor with open loop design, Install Ball,Spring and threaded internal hex plug with O-ringform one end of cavity. And then install another Ball,Spring and threaded internal hex plug with O-ringfrom opposite end of cavity. Torque both plugs to360 +/- 36 lbf-in. Plugs may have light coat of oil orpreservative.9.0.6 For a motor with low pressure relief valve, installpoppet, spring and plug. Plug threads may have lightcoat of oil or preservative. Torque plug to 180+/-18lb-in.9.0.7 For a motor without low-pressure relief valve, Installand torque plug to 180 ± 18 lbf-in. Plug may havelight coat of oil or preservative.9.0.8 Install ball and seat ball sub-assembly. Torque seat to60 +/- 6 lbf-in. Install plug sub-assembly and torque to360 +/- 36 lbf-in.Note: Always use new seals when reassemblinghydraulic motors.Refer to parts list for seal kit number andreplacement parts.Important: During reassembly, lubricate the new sealswith a petroleum jelly such as Vaseline®.
