145 TransportMANUAL ESF-E30 40071860041 (G) November 2018 www.ceag.de5 TransportThe cabinet or enclosure must remain closed duringtransport. The doors must remain closed when the deviceis turned over. When positioning the distributor, and espe-cially when turning it over, avoid creating any one-sidedstrain, as this could potentially cause damage to the fireprotection system, thereby impairing the functioning ofthe enclosure.NOTEImproper handling during transport can cause damage tothe enclosure or the insulation, thereby impairing functio-ning.6 Mounting and InstallationAlignmentEnclosures must be screwed to the masonry with dowelsthat have a general technical approval. Static factors mustbe taken into account. The process of screwing on mustnot subject the enclosure to any tension. It must be ensured that setup or mounting of the electricaldistributor does not impair the stability, sound insulationand fire resistance duration of the adjacent building const-ruction section, even in cases of fire. The approval object of type “US-S ESF30 13-S” must besuspended from solid walls (d ≥ 240 mm) with a fire resis-tance duration of at least 30 minutes. The approval objectof type “US-S ESF30 28-S” must be placed vertically onsolid walls (d ≥ 240 mm) and on solid ceilings (d ≥ 150mm) made of non-combustible building materials with afire resistance duration of at least 30 minutes. Assignmentof the classified fire behaviour properties to the buildingauthority requirements in accordance with Building Regu-lations List A Part 1 Annex 0.2.1 or 0.2.2 (in the respec-tively valid edition, see www.dibt.de).SealingAll types of cable insertion must be performed by specia-lists.Insertion of cables in the enclosureIt must be ensured that fire safety cables are alwaysinserted in the enclosure vertically and without tension.Depending on the cable equipment, the general appraisalcertificate (allgemeines bauaufsichtliches Prüfzeugnis,ABP) or general technical approval (allgemeine bauauf-sichtliche Zulassung, ABZ) of the relevant manufacturermust be observed outside the enclosure. Within the enclo-sure, it must also be ensured that the cables are straightbefore they are looped around and distributed. The maximum admissible single conductor and completeconductor cross-sections for cables intended for infeedinto the electrical distributors are listed in Table 1 below.Table 1: Cable conductor cross-sections [mm2]Type ESF-E30-13 ESF-E30-28max. single conductorcross-section32 32max. total conductorcross-section932 1082Cables entering the distributors must comply with legislati-ve national regulations concerning cable systems (direc-tive for fire protection requirements with cable systemsaccording to MLAR sample cable systems directive, version from April 2016) and technical requirements (e.g.VDE specifications). The cables must ensure power supplyof the electrical distributor and connected building regula-tions-compliant safety lighting systems for the duration offunctionality.InspectionThe enclosure is to be inspected for proper installation bya fire expert authorised for this purpose. The inspectionshould be used to create a protocol that is to be storedtogether with these instructions.Power LossEnclosures must have dimensions which allow them toradiate the power loss of the electrical consumer unit (seeDIN EN 60439-1).
