(The left handterminal is the one next to the “Z” on the terminallabel.) The maximum length of wire is 50m whenusing 2k2/4k7 or 4k7/4k7 FSL wiring and a singlecore of standard 6-core alarm cable. Fit EITHER a2k2 resistor if using 2k2/4k7 FSL, OR a 4k7resistor if using 4k7/4k7 FSL. Do not use anyother FSL resistor combinations.CC wiring Eaton’s Security Business does NOTrecommend that you use CC wiring for thisapplication. The maximum length of wireallowable is only 6m. Instead Eaton’s SecurityBusiness recommends using FSL wiring, asdescribed above.Figure 49 Wiring –TR from External Sounder to aZone on the Expander.Remote Loudspeakers (Optional)If you wish to add a 16 Ohm wired Loudspeakerunit, then connect it as shown in Figures 46 or 47.The control unit provides connections for oneloudspeaker. Expanders provide connections forone loudspeaker each. Do not connect anotherloudspeaker in parallel. You may connect anotherloudspeaker in series, but this will decrease themaximum volume from the speakers.Note: Loudspeakers are not warning devices asdescribed by EN50131-4.
