Screen type represents information that appears on the screen or LCD.Icon DescriptionInformation notes call attention to important features or instructions.In this manual, the term UPS refers only to the UPS cabinet and its internal elements.The term UPS system refers to the entire power protection system – the UPScabinet, the battery cabinet, and options or accessories installed.The term standalone refers to battery cabinets that may be installed adjacent to theUPS or in a separate location, are wired with external customer-supplied conduit andwiring, and may use the battery cabinet breaker as the battery isolation device or asingle overcurrent protection and disconnect device located near the batteries.1.6 Symbols, Controls, and IndicatorsThe following are examples of symbols used on the battery cabinet to alert you toimportant information:RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK - Observe the warning associated with the risk of electricshock symbol.CAUTION: REFER TO OPERATOR'S MANUAL - Refer to your operator's manual foradditional information, such as important operating and maintenance instructions.This symbol indicates that you should not discard the UPS or the UPS batteries in thetrash. This product contains sealed, lead‐acid batteries and must be disposed ofproperly. For more information, contact your local recycling/reuse or hazardous wastecenter.This symbol indicates that you should not discard waste electrical or electronicequipment (WEEE) in the trash.
