If your rack has conductors for grounding or bonding of ungroundedmetal parts, connect the ground cable (not included) to the groundbonding screw. See Figure 28 on page 47 for the location of theground bonding screw.NOTE DO NOT protect laser printers with the UPS because of the exceptionally high powerrequirements of the heating elements.NOTE Verify that the total equipment ratings do not exceed the UPS capacity to prevent anoverload alarm.15. Plug the equipment to be protected into the UPS outputreceptacles, but do not turn on the protected equipment (seeFigure 28 on page 47).16. Make any necessary provisions for cord retention and strain relief.17. If an emergency power-off (disconnect) switch is required by localcodes, see “REPO and ROO Installation” on page 54 to install theREPO switch before powering on the UPS.If you are not required to install a REPO switch, you can install anoptional remote on/off (ROO) switch (see page 54).18. Switch all circuit breakers to the ON ( | ) position.19. Switch the main utility breaker on.The indicator flashes, indicating the UPS is in Standby modewith the equipment offline. The fans run and the LCD illuminatesand displays the UPS startup screens.20. To change the factory-set defaults, see “User Settings” onpage 60.
