Just follow the samesteps as above with the following exception: you should create a 6 channel audiodevice instead of 8, and you should select “5.1 surround sound speakers” instead of7.1. You can use the same directions above for playback with Windows Mediaplayer, but you can also use other DVD player software as well.For this example we will use Intervideo’s WinDVD. After you’ve followed thedirections above:• Open WinDVD.• Select “Properties…” by right clicking in the WinDVD playback window orby clicking on the “wrench” button in the WinDVD player.• Select the Audio tab.• Select “6 speaker mode (5.1 channel)”.• Click OK.• You may need to close WinDVD and open it again for the “6 speaker mode”option to be available.• Verify playback by listening to the speakers or by looking at the outputmeters in the Echo console.Other surround sound applications such as PowerDVD will work similarly.If your speakers are connected correctly, you can now enjoy 5.1 surround soundplayback with your Layla3G or Gina3G.
