The entire cooktop may be lifted upand supported in the up position.The surface units do not need to be removed; however,you may remove one to make raising the cooktop easier.There are two side supports that lock into position whenthe cooktop is lifted up.After cleaning under the cooktop with hot, mild soapywater and a clean cloth, lower the cooktop. However, any acidic foods spilled(such as fruit juices, tomato or vinegar) should not be permittedto remain on the finish.If acids spill on the cooktop while it is hot, use a dry paper towel orcloth to wipe it up right away.
