26OrificecleaningWith the burner(s) removed, remove theorifice and shine a flashlight through theopening to ensure there is no blockage.Use a needle to clear any debris. Be extremelycareful not to enlarge the hole or break offthe needle.BurnercleaningClean the exterior of the burner(s) with a wirebrush.Be sure burner ports are clear and free fromdebris. Clear any clogged ports with astraightened paper clip. Never use a woodentoothpick as it may break off and clog the port.Never enlarge the burner ports. Shake out anydebris through the air shutter.Use a flashlight to inspect the burner inlet toensure it is not blocked. If obstructions can beseen, use a metal wire coat hanger that has beenstraightened out to clear them.NOTE: To ensure warranty coverage and properperformance of the grill and range-top burners,monthly inspection and cleaning of all the grilland range-top burner orifices is recommended.Controlpanel andknobsClean up spatters with a damp cloth. Removeheavier soil with warm, soapy water.Do not use abrasives of any kind on the controlpanel.The control knobs may be removed for easiercleaning. To remove a knob, pull it straight offthe stem. Wash the knobs in soap and water butdo not soak.Grill burner for 27″, 36″ and 48″ modelsGrill burners for 24″ modelRotisserie Keep the rotisserie motor electric cord awayfrom the heated surface of the grill. When notin use remove and store the motor in a drylocation.Clean the skewer in warm sudsy water.Stainlesssteelsurfaces(on some models)Do not use a steel wool pad; it will scratch thestainless steel surface.Clean with hot soapy water. Rinse and dry.If food soil remains, try a general kitchencleaner, such as Fantastik®, Simple Green® orFormula 409®.For hard to clean soil, use a standard stainlesssteel cleaner such as Bon-Ami®® or Cameo®.Soils can also be soaked several hours with wettowels. Apply cleaner with a damp sponge,rinse thoroughly and dry. Always scrub lightlyin the direction of the grain.After cleaning, use a stainless steel polish suchas Stainless Steel Magic®, Revere Copper andStainless Steeel Cleaner®, or Wenol AllPurpose Metal Polish®.
